Handmade Autumn Playdough

We recently created our Autumn bucket list, and I'm happy to say we have something to tick off already! We made some ginger scented playdough. Emily has had lots of fun playing with this, and it is definitely something I am planning to make again with different scents. It is so simple to make so I thought I would tell you how, you can either follow the simple instructions below, or watch the YouTube video.

2 cups of plain flour
1 cup of salt
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
1 and 1/2 cups of just boiling hot water

I just then added a blob of paint, and a couple of tablespoons of ginger.

Everyone knows that playdough is a popular activity with children, this simple activity lets children use their imaginations and helps to strengthen the small muscles in their fingers, and help to improve there fine motor skills. Sharing, taking turns, and playing with playdough with your children is also a great way to improve their social skills, and language.
