Crunching & Collecting Leaves

You know when you just wake up, and your in one of those 'I can't be bothered to do anything moods' - well I woke up like that, and decided rather than giving in to it, I was going to get up, get dressed and get out. I put a casserole into the slow cooker, got us all dressed and headed out the door. It did me wonders, it literally turned my whole day around. I had plans to make some autumn themed homemade playdough with the girls, and we had already picked up conkers and acorns. The only thing that was left for us to collect was some crunchy leaves.

We set off on our walk and stumbled upon the biggest pile of crunchy leaves going. Isabelle was much to little this time last year to take anything in, so it was lovely to watch her exploring the leaves. Especially now she is finally toddling, she absolutely loved being able to follow Emily, and kick the leaves although that did mean she fell on her bum a few times. Emily enjoyed kicking the leaves just as much as Emily and loved that she was able to show Isabelle what to do.

Both of the girls picked some leaves, and we put them all into a bag to take home for later. After about half an hour the girls were finally finished crunching leaves, and we were right by the park so decided that we would head over there seen as they had both spotted the swings, and Emily had asked if we could go there. They had lots of fun swinging back and forth, laughing and giggling at each other.

We then decided to head home for lunch and then had big plans to make some playdough, which we did actually do (but that is for another blog post). I feel so lucky daily that the girls have each other, and I'm able to sit back and watch them play and bond. I'm also pretty proud of the pictures that I managed to capture, Emily also managed to capture a really cute one of me and Isabelle, so I thought that I would share them with you.
