The Gruffalo My First Puzzles [Review]

Isabelle was kindly sent a lovely package from Ravensburger. They kindly sent her The Gruffalo My First Puzzles. The set contains 9 two-piece puzzles which were aimed at children age 18 months +. Each jigsaw has a chunky illustrated frame, everyone is different and they all depict scenes and characters from the very much loved, and well-known book 'The Gruffalo'.

My girls are big fans of both the Gruffalo books and loved that they jigsaws were of characters that they knew and loved. The Pieces are made from really thick laminated card, so there is less chance of the pieces bending. Isabelle is a fan of putting everything in her mouth and chewing most things, so it's nice to know that there is no chance of them getting ruined, or broken if she decides to eat them or get heavy handed with them.

18 months is the perfect age to introduce pre-school children to jigsaws as it promotes early learning skills. Isabelle always reaches for Emily's bigger jigsaws, so it is nice that she now has a set of her own, and Emily loves to sit and help her create the pictures - she is really keen for her little sister to be able to join in her games and loves nothing more than trying to teach her.

The pieces retail at £8.99 which I think is a really reasonable price for them, they make the perfect first birthday gift or Christmas present. There are other themed jigsaws in the My first puzzles range, and I can't wait to check those out, I'm really hoping that I will be able to find another set for Isabelle to put away for Christmas.
