World Book Day 2018

March 1st was world book day, Emily hasn't ever celebrated world book day before, I guess that's because she isn't yet at school and doesn't go to nursery. We are big book fans in our house though, I have always loved reading and it was something that I really wanted to instal in Emily, I wanted her to enjoy reading, and I have always read her stories, with the hope that she will fall in love with books, and it will be something that stays with her. So far I have found that is working, she absolutely adores her books. I often find her sitting in a corner with a book, or laying on her bed reading to her bunny.

Since I had Isabelle, Emily has loved reading her stories. Although she can't actually read her the words from a page, she remembers her favourite books, and resites it to Isabelle - something isabelle absolutely loves, she watches Emily with amazement as she turns the pages. It honestly makes my heart melt. If she doesn't know the story all that way, she makes her own stories up, something i equally adore listening to. I don't know if it is just me, but I love listening to her, and how her imagination works.

Because of world book day, Emily was kindly gifted two new miffy books to add to her already big collection, she was absolutely delighted by the two new additions, especially because she hasn't actually got these ones yet. She got Miffy goes to stay, and Miffy and Melanie. She couldn't wait to introduce Isabelle to the world of Miffy. In her little goodie bag was some Miffy ears for the girls, Emily hasn't stopped wearing hers, Isabelle wasn't so keen on them at first, but she soon got used to them, and the fact they had matching bunny ears was the most adorable thing I have ever seen. I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of them together and sharing them with you.
