Ewan The Dream Sheep [Review]

We were recently sent Ewan the dream sheep to test out. I have heard lots about Ewan and the magic he creates - managing to send babies and toddlers off to sleep, so I was expecting great things. I have to say I wasn't disappointed. Isabelle has been fussing quite a lot at night time since we brought her home from the hospital, I'm putting it down to the fact that our home is so quiet during the night, there is literally no sound what so ever. Since we have been using Ewan she has drifted off to sleep within minutes.

Ewan is a soft cuddly toy, who comes in Grey or Purple. He is fluffy, cuddly, and damn right adorable. He has not just one, but four tricks up his sleeves. Heartbeat and womb, heartbeat and vacuum cleaner, heartbeat and rain, and heartbeat with a melody, all of the recordings are real life recordings and not computer generated, which makes him perfect for babies from newborn. Each of the sounds is played at a low base frequency, the same frequency that babies can hear in the womb.

The combination of sounds are activated by pushing buttons which are situated in Ewan's legs. I love that the music turns off after 20 minutes, meaning that you don't have to disturb your little one to turn it off, once they are asleep. If you want to turn it off, you can simply hold down the leg for 5 seconds and it turns off.

Ewan also glows a calming warm pink, which when combined with the melodies helps to settle babies and toddlers into a peaceful sleep. He also has a velcro tale which means he is easy to attach to cot bars, Moses baskets, prams, car seats or wherever you may need him. It is recommended that Ewan is attached safely out of babies way until they are 12 months of age, for safety reasons.

Isabelle absolutely loves Ewan the dream sheep, she loves to lay in her bedside crib and stare at the warm pink glow, that combined with the music helps her drift off to sleep in no time. I have to admit that I find the sound of the sheep quite reassuring and settling myself. I think that it is a great sleep aid for babies, he is also super soft and cuddly meaning he is suitable for play time too.

Ewan is priced at £29.99 which I think is a really reasonable price when it comes to getting a good nights sleep - I would pay more. You can tell that Ewan is designed with babies in mind. He is definitely a product that I have recommended to my pregnant friends. If you want to find out more about Ewan or purchase your own. Head over to the Sweet Dreamers website.

I was sent this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

  1. I have heard so many people rave about this - so good to hear that it hasn't disappointed. I must have missed a birth announcement, though, lovely, so congratulations!! x

  2. Ewan is a god send. We had him when we had our first born, but I haven't used it this time around. Mainly because I know Ewan is hiding somewhere and I know I'll come across him. But it really is a great sleep aid for babies.

  3. Ewan saved me from sleep deprivation with Max! We're using the Whisbear with Emmie as Max has decided Ewan is his 😂

  4. What a fabulous idea and Ewan is super cute

  5. I've heard amazing things about Ewan, it's on my wishlist for baby girl! x

  6. What a fantastic idea, I am sending this to my friend who has a newborn!

  7. This is adorable. Both my kids need a night light when they go to sleep.
