Matchstick Monkey [Review]

Teething is something that is a painful and long process for little ones, its also really hard for parents to stand by and see their little one in pain. Emily was a early teether, I remember her first tooth poping through when she was just 4 months old. As a first time parent I really struggled to know what was the right thing to do to help relieve some of the pain, and spent hours and hours googling what the best teething toys would be for her. With baby number two arriving soon, it has been something I've been thinking about again.

The only thing I found worked for Emily was letting her chew on everything and anything. I tried all of the well known things, but none of it really worked. This time around I was lucky enough to hear about the matchstick monkey, and jumped at the chance to review it. I know it will be perfect for baby girl when she is teething - not just as a teether though, but it will make a fun, bright, clasping toy for her to play with.

So what are my tips for dealing with teething. patience, you are going to need buckets of the stuff. Emily used to cry 24/7 because she was in pain which is of course a natural reaction to have, she had no other way to tell us something was up. Something cold, I found putting something cold on her sore gums helped massively, the one thing I love about the matchstick monkey is you are able to put it in the fridge, or leave it warm. You can also pick up some useful teething medications, but we didn't find anything that seemed to work for us - doesn't mean that is the case for you though.

I'd love to hear your tips! Overall, I am really impressed with the matchstick monkey. It is bright and eye catching which is going to be perfect for baby girl, the wide arms mean it is also really easy to clasp. Emily has also loved using the monkey to play with as it is suitable from 3 months to 3 years.

I was sent this product in exchange for a honest review. All opinions are my own.
