Handmade Fathers Day Card

Fathers day is approaching fast, and we wanted to give Sam something special for Fathers day. What better than a handmade Fathers day card, I absolutely love doing crafts with Emily, and I think that receiving a handmade card is much better than a shop brought one. I decided to make some one for her Grandad and one for her Daddy. They were pretty east to make and I am really happy with how they turned out.

What you need
A4 Card
Finger Paint
Coloured paper (we used gold)

1. I gave Emily some A4 paper and let her use the finger paints to create a painting.
2. Once it had dried I folded the card in half and cut it to size.
3. I then cut out some tie shapes, and added 'happy fathers day' to them.
4. Emily then used the pritt stick with a little help to stick the ties down to the card.
5. Write a cute little message and your all finished.

  1. What a great idea. I have to say I love your new look blog it is fab x

  2. This is such a fab idea Stephanie! I never sit and do anything like this with Oscar. I need to put crafts on my 'to do' list!

  3. Oh this is so sweet Stephanie. Such a good excuse for the little ones to be crafty and such a lovely keepsake for dad too.

  4. Wow it looks like they had fun with the paints! I hope Daddy loves his cards x

  5. Ahhh so cute!!! I love getting handmade cards for Mothers Day but Im really bad...I can never be bothered making them for fathers day! ;D My excuse is there are too many kids...its just too messy at their ages lol xx

  6. They are brilliant! I know I'd be happy to receive home made Father's day cards. Much better than shop bought!

  7. Aww these are brilliant!! So creative and thoughtful. I bet dad was so happy with these. Lovely pictures :)

  8. Such a sweet, personal and simple craft. I love it. Definitely one for the keepsake box, eh! x

  9. Messy but oh so pretty. Something I would definitely keep especially when they made it themselves for the first time.

  10. These are lovely cards, you both did a great job! I'm really looking forward to being able to do this kind of thing with Lu when she's a bit bigger x
