Our Favourite Halloween Books

Emily is a massive bookworm, she loves nothing more than picking some books of her bookshelf, then going and sitting in her teepee to read them. We also read lots of books every night before Emily goes to bed. It's something I really want to keep encouraging as she gets older too, as I think she will really benefit from reading as I have.

There are lots of books out there that are perfect for Halloween, and I thought that I would put together a little list of some of our favourites. These books are perfect to snuggle up and read aloud with the children. I often find that Emily picks up words too, and has started to really recognise that letters make a word and what the different letters are. So here is our list.

Mr. Men Halloween Party by Roger Hargreaves
Ten Little Monsters by Mike Brownlow
Help! My Monsters Are On The Loose by Webber Books
Angelina's Halloween by Katharine Holabird
Room On The Broom by Julia Donaldson
Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper
The Roll Away Pumpkin by Junia Wonders
Peppa's Pumpkin Party by Ladybird
Paw Patrol Howl For Halloween by Golden Books
That's Not My Witch by Fiona Watt
The Ghost Engine (Thomas The Tank Engine) by W Awdry
Funny Bones by Allan Ahlberg
Winnie The Witch by Valerie Thomas
Zog and the Flying Doctors by Julia Donaldson
How To Win A Monster Race by Caryl Hart
That's Not My Dragon by Fiona Watt
Four Silly Skeletons by Mike Sperring
What's In Witches Kitchen? by Nick Sharratt

I'd love to hear if you have any recommendations for your favourite Halloween children's books.
