Bumbo Changing Pad [Review]

We were recently asked by Bumbo if we would like to review the changing pad, of course, I said yes. We went through about 5-6 cheap foam changing pads with Emily, at the time I wasn't too worried as they are cheap, but these things soon add up and it ended up being costly. This time I wanted a changing pad that would last.

The Bumbo changing pad is made up of polyurethane foam. It is lightweight, practical, soft and ergonomic. The sides are slightly raised, which is going to help when Isabelle gets to the stage where she is trying to roll over, it also has handy straps to hold them in place which is ideal if the changing pad is used on top of a changing table. The strap is fully adjustable too which means it is suitable for both newborn babies and toddlers.

I found that the changing pad is really easy to clean, I simply spray it with some anti-bacterial spray and then wipe it down. This is a huge plus, as I'm sure most parents know the number of times that newborns have poo explosions, or accidents - no matter how fast you try and change them.

I found the changing pad to be perfect to use after baths, normally when I lay Isabelle down onto a normal plastic changing mat, she either sticks to it or is startled as it is cold. Due to the material of the changing pad, this doesn't happen, she always seems happy and content to lay on the pad.

The Bumbo changing pad is slightly more expensive but it has definitely proved worth while. I personally would recommend it to other parents who are expecting a baby.

I have been kindly gifted the Bumbo changing pad in exchange for an honest review.

  2. We loved Bumbo! Great to see them doing a change pad. That's brilliant that it isn't cold after bath time, this was a common problem for us and would have to use 2 towels every time x

  3. Now that's a really good changing mat. If only I had that when my daughter was a baby. Used to get really paranoid and worried that she'd turn over and fall!

  9. This is definitely a good read for soon to be mums. I'm sure they won't care adding up a few bucks for a good quality changing pad.
