34 Week Pregnancy Update [Baby Number Two]

Due Date: June 28th, 2017

Mood
This week has been another one where I have felt extremely down, I'm not sure where its stemming from or if i'm more nervous about giving birth - or leaving Emily. Both are equally terrifying me. I saw the midwife this week, who reinforced the taking it easy, slowing down so as not to trigger labour. I feel like I've accomplished something making it this far though. Baby is still head down, pushing down which is making everything so damn uncomfortable. I literally feel as if I am going to squash her if I sit down - which I know is a silly thought.

I had an appointment lined up to see the mental health team (it was supposed to be today actually) and I built myself up for it, as medical appointments always make me feel really anxious. Then they phoned me yesterday to rearrange as for some reason they had to cancel my appointment. It's actually left me feeling really weird, I was already nervous about the meeting as I'm not really sure what to expect but now they have pushed it back it has made me even more anxious as I know I'm going to have to build myself up for it again to be able to go next week.

Symptoms
I have lots of bump pain, which I'm guessing is just more stretching, I also have lots of pressure below which I am assured is down to the pre-term labour. The sickness is still overwhelming, but I am trying to stay as positive as possible, after all I've managed this far, there isn't all that long left now (even though I hate that saying).

Sleep
What is sleep? I feel like I haven't got more than three hours uninterrupted in as long as I can remember. The weather has been really nice recently, so its been hotter at night. Impossible to get comfortable when you have a huge bump, and its boiling hot outside! I'm kind of thankful that she is a June baby, as I wont be pregnant over the whole of summer like I was with Emily.

Movement
There is no stopping this little monkey, I'm sure that she is just like her sister and is going to be a football player or something. Her Kicks and movements are so big, she is mainly active at night time (just like her sister - and another reason I can't sleep)

Food cravings
Lots of ice pops, if I can't get any ice pops I'll happily just settle for a glass of ice.

Gender It's a GIRL!

Highlight of the week:
Seeing the midwife, Emily was able to listen to her sisters heartbeat again, which has honestly become the highlight of the week for her. She is constantly talking about her sister. We also got a lovely delivery from iswaddle, we are going to be testing out one of their wraps and I can't wait to use it. I never used a carrier or wrap with Emily, so it will be interesting to see how I get along this time around.

Looking forward to:
Meeting our little girl, and seeing the girls together!
