The Irish Fairy Door

Emily is at a age where everything is so magical and special, and to be really honest, I have to admit that I love it. We were recently given the opportunity to review a fairy door from The Irish Fairy Door Company, and I knew that Emily would be so excited. These magical doors open up a world of imagination for children, and would make a lovely gift.

The Irish Fairy Door Company have a great range of fairy doors, in every shape, and colour. They even have a paint your own option meaning you can find one that is perfect for your home. They also sell lots of fairy accessories, such as a little post box, washing line and even fairy dust!

The Fairy door arrived in a beautiful presentation box, the box contained, 1 fairy door, a contact for the family to sign, a set of 3 stepping stones for your fairy, a key for your fairy to come and go as they please, and a little book – giving you the opportunity to learn all about the fairies. There was also a little notepad, so you can write little messages to your fairy, Emily has really enjoyed doing this, and decided her fairy is called Freya.

Emily has recently had her room decorated, so we went for a pink door to match her new bedroom. The fairy door can be used for anything you like – it is a great way of tapping into your child’s imagination. I have heard lots of people using the fairy doors for the tooth fairy. This may be something we use it for in the future, but at the moment it has become a door for the fairies to scare away the spooky monsters who live in Emily’s teepee.

Like most children her age, Emily has a overactive imagination, and has been having nightmares about spooky monsters for a while. Since we put up the fairy door and explained that it will stop the scary monsters, she has been sleeping better. She often asks to leave the fairy notes, and pictures. Who knew a magical fairy door could help me get a full nights sleep!

- I was sent the product for the purpose of this post, however all opinions are my own.
