My First Thomas And Friends Review

Emily has always been a huge fan of Thomas the Tank engine. It is the only program that she will sit and watch from start to finish, she has quite the collection of Thomas trains and can name pretty much all of the characters to you. Of course her favourite being Emily, the green steam engine. When I was given the opportunity to review the My First Thomas and friends comforter and soft toy, from Rainbow designs. I of course said yes. I knew that Emily would love the Thomas soft toy, and the comforter would be great for baby number 2. She is bound to be a Thomas fan too, especially with her big sisters influence.

Emily was so excited when the Thomas soft toy arrived. We visited Thomas Land at Drayton Manor last year, and I won her a Rosie soft toy, since then she has been asking for a Thomas one to match. The soft toy is suitable from 0+, it is soft, squishy and so cute. The body of the train is fleecy and includes the signature Thomas design that we know and love. It even has his number 1, and friendly smile. The wheels are a different textured material, the wheels also have a print on which makes it a smoother texture. Emily has really enjoyed playing with Thomas, and while this is aimed at younger children, I believe any Thomas fan would love this soft, squishy, cuddly toy.

I was equally impressed with the comforter, the first thing I noticed when I opened it was the teether. I love that it is bright and eye-catching. It's also a nice addition to the comforter blanket as I haven't seen something like that on a blanket before. I love that you can remove the teether when you want to wash it, it simply attaches by velcro. The blanket itself is very soft, and a similar material to the soft toy. I love that the colours are eyecatching a bright, without being over the top.

Overall I am really impressed with the quality of the products. I feel like they would make the perfect gift for someone expecting a little one. I do wish there were more characters, although we love thomas, it would be lovely if they brought out a version with the girl train's on, for example Emily, Rosie or Caitlyn.

If you want to get your hands on the My First Thomas and Friends Range, they are available now at Tesco.

- I was sent the product for the purpose of this post, however all opinions are my own.
