Little Learners Books Review

I love reading, and believe it is such an important thing. It is something that I really want Emily to enjoy doing too, we have always encouraged her to read books, and she always has them close by to grab if she wants to. I make sure I always take time to read together, as I think it is the perfect way to bond. I love introducing Emily to new books, as there are so many wonderful children’s books out there just waiting to be discovered.

Parragon books have a beautiful range of books, and have recently given their little learners range a re-vamp. When we were offered the opportunity to review them, I jumped at the chance, as I knew they would be right up Emily’s street. Emily was sent a box full of books, and she was delighted to open them and take a look. The books range from finger puppet books, to musical books. They are perfect for babies and toddlers with lots of calming pastel colours and gorgeous illustrations.

The titles we received were:

- Little Learners Incy Wincy spider (finger puppet book)
- Little Learners My first shapes
- Little Learners Ring-a-Ring-O’Roses (musical book)
- Little Learners Cow Says Moo
- Little Learners Peek-A-Boo I Love You

Emily’s favourite book was Incy Wincy Spider, it’s a nursery rhyme that she is familiar with, and knows all the words/actions to. So, she really enjoyed exploring it in a book form. She loved that she could put her finger inside the spider to make him wriggle and move. All of the books have really nice illustrations and keep the attention of toddlers for quite some time.

I did feel that some of the books were too young for Emily, and would say it really depends on the developmental stage of your little one, as to what books you pick. While these books are aimed at toddlers and babies, at 2 years Emily was bored by ‘My First Shapes’ book, as she already knows all her shapes. There also isn’t many in the book, which I understand prevents a little one who is learning their shapes to not be overwhelmed with lots at once, but an older child such as Emily got bored of it quickly.

Overall, I was super impressed with these books, as was Emily. She really enjoyed the musical ones the most, and I would consider purchasing her a few more in the set.

You can find the full range here on the Parragon website.

- I was sent the product for the purpose of this post, however all opinions are my own.
