21 Weeks Pregnant [Baby Number 2]

Due Date: June 28th, 2017

Mood: This week has been a little better, I have had a couple of days where I have felt down, but I am putting that down to the fact that I am not getting much sleep. I seem to be waking lots during the night thanks to a spooky monster keeping my toddler awake (more about that another time), and the fact I keep waking up to be sick. I'm not sure what is worse, being sick, or a upset toddler. Either way I have spent most of my time feeling exhausted, which is then leaving me feeling really down and anxious.

Symptoms: Guess what, the sickness is still plaguing me and my pregnancy. I feel like I must say this every week, but I don't want to not be honest. I think I've now got to a stage where I know its just part and parcel of being pregnant, I have come to accept that I am probably going to suffer with HG for the rest of the duration of my pregnancy.

Sleep: As mentioned above, a spooky monster and sickness is keeping me awake. I am finding it easier to fall asleep with the help of my pregnancy pillow (you can find a full review here - it is literally the most comfortable thing).

Movement: Baby E has been kicking lots, Emily felt her kick today (21.02). Emily has felt her kick lots before, but its always been like flutters, or small kicks, today she was proper going for it, and kicked Emily's hand so hard she made her jump. The excitement and joy on her face was incredible. It amazes me just how much she understands what is going on. She now keeps asking for us to get the baby out. Sorry kiddo, she needs to stay put a few more months!

Food Cravings: I don't really have any 'I need to eat this now' food cravings, not like I did with Emily. Although I always seem to want fizzy sweets.

Gender: It's a GIRL!

Highlight of the week: I got lots of lovely baby deliveries this week, which has made the whole thing seem a lot more real. I also received this Hello Baby Journal, which I really enjoyed filling in this week. I made a baby book with Emily, and I think it will be such a lovely keepsake for the girls when they are older.

Looking forward to: Hopefully getting some sleep next week.. lets see if we can get rid of these spooky monsters!

  1. I'm not a mommy but I do want to be one soon. When I read these kind of blog posts it's amazing because I like when women keep it real! It's the best help they can give, real information, the good and the bad.
That pregnancy pillow looks amazing! Even for people with back problems (like myself!)
