Emily's Halloween Basket - 2016

Last year I put together a Halloween basket for Emily, she is much too young to go trick-or-treating, so it seemed easier to just give her a little Halloween themed basket full of goodies. I did one of these at Christmas and Easter and she loved them. I don’t know why I just really love to put them together and see her face when she opens them. I am usually a lot more prepared and would have had this basket put together at the beginning of the month, but at least it is done now.  I thought I would put together this little post to show you what I have brought for Emily this year.

Emily was lucky enough to receive two Itty Bitty’s for her Halloween basket. These adorable stuffed toys are based on the characters from the classic film wizard of OZ. They are made in a new contemporary style by Hallmark. The Itty Bitty’s are a perfect gift for anyone any age. Emily received the wicked witch, and the scarecrow. These fit in perfectly with both Halloween and autumn. I just know that Emily is going to love them, she is really fond of witches at the moment, as her favourite book is room on the broom.

No basket is complete without chocolate right? I got Emily these really cute chocolate coins, they were only 50p. I also got her a little smarties pumpkin, and white chocolate ghost, I got these for Emily last year too and she really enjoyed them. I then added some orange playdoh, although we usually make our own it is always handy to have some in a little pot to put in our bag when we are running out. Emily got a new baby grow – I know she’s 2, this will literally be the last year I will be able to get her in one, but she has had the same orange pumpkin sleepsuit 3 years running. So when I saw that they had her size I just had to get it.

The last thing I added was some books, and a DVD. You may have seen my ‘what’s on Emily’s book shelf’ post, I try to buy Emily themed books to match the seasons, or things going on such as Halloween, Christmas, or Easter. I picked out this peter rabbit book, and Emily loves it. I have read it to her every night before she went to bed this week. The second book is room on the broom which is proving to be another favourite – last night Emily made me read it 5 times in a row. I’m sure by next week I will know all the words. We also have a mickey mouse clubhouse Halloween themed DVD. This is going to be perfect for cosy days in.

Finally, I treated Emily to another jelly cat. She really is obsessed with jelly cats and growing quite the collection – of course none of them compare to her bunny, she is a firm favourite. This small sized black cat is just as soft and cute as it looks. It makes the perfect addition to the basket, and I can’t wait to give it to Emily.

So tell me, do you put together Halloween baskets for your little ones?

 - I was sent the products for the purpose of the review, however all opinions are my own.
