Dressing Up For Halloween

Halloween is fast approaching, there is only 24 days to go. Excitement in our household is building for Halloween because Emily absolutely loves dressing up, any reason to dress up and she is so happy about it. I have been telling her that on Halloween she can wear her dress up outfit all day, and she is thrilled at the idea of it. While we don’t go trick or treating, Emily will be able to wear her outfit to Nanny’s house the day before Halloween and wear it wherever we go on Halloween.

I teamed up with Party Delights, to show case a few of their fab dressing up costumes from the Halloween range, Emily was so pleased when her little outfits came in the post. I did have a hard time picking them for her, as party delights stock a wide range of gorgeous dressing up costumes. From Halloween outfits, to Disney princess, and film characters – you really will be able to find something for everyone.

The first costume I picked for Emily was this gorgeous pumpkin witch costume. This cute costume features a brightly coloured dress which has satin and organza sleeves. It also has a ruched elasticated back and sides, and an adorable pumpkin print on the chest. It has a satin skirt with organza parts which Emily loved. My favourite thing about this costume was it came with a gorgeous fabric covered headband with green pumpkin stalk. I was surprised that Emily kept the headband on as normally she pulls them off. These type of headbands are perfect for toddlers as they have Velcro on the bottom.

The second costume we picked was this beautiful belle costume, from one of walk Disney’s timeless fairy tales, where only true love can break the spell. Emily has been watching beauty and the beast recently and absolutely loves the scene where belle and beast dance. I knew that she would recognise the golden dress and fall in love with it. I wanted to pick one costume that wasn’t Halloween related as not all children want to dress up as pumpkins, skeletons or witches. Sometimes they just want to be their favourite princesses or pirates – and that is fine too. This beautiful belle ballerina costumes comes from the story of time collection, and consists of a pretty golden yellow dress, with a character motif on the chest. It also had rose accents to the bodice, which Emily adored. I thought they were a lovely touch to the dress. The multi-layer ballerina dress skirt has layers of shimmering net and organza.

Lastly we went for a skeleton. This is actually my favourite; I just think Emily looks so cute in it. The skeleton girl dress is from the Halloween range, and features a black long sleeved dress with a tutu style skirt. It also has a bone print on the dress and sleeves. I liked how there was a Velcro fastening on the back as it meant we could undo it to get it over Emily’s head easier.

What will your child be dressing up as this year?

 - I was sent the products for the purpose of the review, however all opinions are my own.
