As you may have noticed, I have a little girl with a very sweet tooth. As soon as I open the freezer to get dinner out, she runs over and asks for ‘Ice cream’. With the hot weather we have been having recently, I decided to make some homemade ice cream sundaes. They were super easy to throw together, and there really is no right or wrong way to make them. Plus you can tailor it to your own taste. We recently went for a meal out and a sundae was £4.99. I could make them at home for less than £1! So that is exactly what me and Emily did.
This is my all time favourite ice cream sundae. I love strawberries, both Sam and Emily can't stand them, which means I never have to share a strawberry sundae!
What I added - Soft scoop ice cream, chopped strawberries, whipped cream, and strawberry sauce.
Chocolate fudge cake
This one was Sam's favourite, he is a big fan of chocolate fudge cake and brownies. Emily also really liked this one, although we didn't let her have a lot of it.
What I added - Soft scoop ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and chocolate fudge cake slices.
This is one we made especially for Emily, regular readers will know I really struggle to get Emily to eat fruit, and the only way I can get her to do so is by giving her fruit puree. This sundae has little orange, mango and pineapple frozen fruit puree balls in it. She absolutely loved this sundae, and I would make it for her again in a heartbeat.
What I added - Soft scoop ice cream, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, and frozen pineapple, mango and orange fruit puree balls.
This one is a firm family favourite. The three of us love honeycomb, so it was only natural that we attempted to make a honeycomb based sundae.
What I added - Soft scoop ice cream, toffee sauce, honeycomb (crunchie), and Whipped cream.
