Fathers Day Gift Guide

With fathers day just around the corner, I have been looking at various different gifts for Sam. He is quite easy to please and would be happy with a new PlayStation game, but I like to try and get him something that he isn't expecting, or something personal. Last year I got him gorgeous personalised gifts from Emily, and he was really surprised. This year I'm hoping to top it, and maybe get him a few things that are practical for our holiday in July.

Sugru Not sure what to get your dad for fathers day, what about the starter Sugru kit? This is one of the most useful products I have found and one which I know Sam will use. Sugru is a mouldable glue that sticks to almost anything, and turns into a strong flexible rubber overnight. It is made to stick to as many materials as possible forming a strong bond to aluminium, steel, ceramics, glass, woods and other materials including plastics and rubbers. The kit is a brilliant starter, as It contains a booklet full of inspiration, 5 single use packs of Sugru in various different colours, and a tin to store your Sugru in. This handy little kit is a bargain at just £10.

Love2Read I adore these photo books. Love2Read provides you with the opportunity to create your own book online, you can add pictures and text to go along with the pictures. You can also display your first four pictures on the cover of the book. Emily absolutely loves this book, when her daddy is at work she likes to flick through the book. Its also nice to see Sam and Emily bonding, by looking through the book together and reliving their memories. Each book is £14.99.

Snapfish I love personalised gifts, I have to say whenever I am looking for something personalised I head straight to Snapfish. I really like their new website too as it is so much easier to create your products. I made both Sam and his Grandad a 11oz personalised mug for Fathers day, which were only £7.99 each. The mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe. I also picked a greeting card, these are brilliant as you can personalise them to your own taste. The cards start at 75p. My favourite thing has to be the photobook. I got the smallest size (6x4), and I think it is the perfect size, it is £5.99 for 20 pages, and you can add a additional 8 pages for £1.99. The last thing I got was a new key ring for Sam, he actually had a key ring with a baby picture of Emily in but sadly it got smashed. I'm sure that he is going to love having a replacement and it was only £1.99.

Beanies Back in November we got sent the mini xmas stash box of flavoured coffee, and Sam's Grandad really liked them. When we were thinking about a Fathers day gift for him, we straight away thought of more flavoured coffee. Beanies currently have a 3 jars and mug offer on their website for £10. Which now contains the cookie dough flavour, I'm sure that Sam would like this flavour too, as he is a big fan of cookie dough. You can also purchase the individual 50g jars from Tesco and Sainsburys.

Brantano As I mentioned early we are heading off on Holiday in July, I really wanted to find Sam some sandals that were comfortable for the beach, but also a pretty reasonable price. With that in mind I headed over to the Brantano website, Brantano are one of the places I always look because they usually have really good deals. They have quite a good selection of men's sandals, and I really like this pair!

Limted company in a box We all know one person who constantly talks about wanting to start a business. It's always excuses, and you wonder whether they will ever take the leap and actually do it. Well if this sounds like your dad, why not offer something a little bit different, a company in a box. It will be the nudge and push in the right direction that is needed. The price of the company in the box is £59.99. It is cheaper and easier than going it on your own. For this price you will get the gift box which includes a guide and a voucher containing a unique code needed to redeem the gift. Once the voucher has been redeemed, they will help to set up the company, complete with all the necessary paperwork required by companies house, and send out all the official documentation. You can find a full list of what is included here.

Empire When you have a toddler you become really aware of how much they throw certain things, and the last thing you want them to throw is your phone. This KLIX genuine leather wallet from Empire, is a high quality wallet that replaces the need to carry your phone and wallet separately. It will be perfect for Sam, as he tends to forget his wallet when we go out anywhere. It also will protect his phone if Emily does manage to get hold of it. The other thing I love is this flat AUX cable. I use the AUX cable in the car often to play music through our iPad, Sam's phone is usually connected to the bluetooth so it is easier to use the AUX cable. Our one has broke, and I love the pattern of this one, so I think it will be perfect for Sam.

Cheerz As a family, we take hundreds of pictures a month. There is always moments to capture when you have a toddler, but I never get a chance to print them. Often they stay stored on my laptop never to be seen again. Cheerz offer the opportunity to print picture online, and also via the app. I found this really useful as I take my pictures mainly on my phone. I decided to put together a photo album for Sam with a few of our most memorable family photographs. A photo album is something of a classic, but this one has its own unique twist, It looks like a book, and I absolutely love t. It can hold up to 150 photographs, and has a layflat layout. This means the photo album lays completely flat so you can really see the photographs. You can also personalise the cover with a picture, and add text into the photo album. The cheerz app is so easy to navigate and work, I will definitely be using it again in the future. The last day to order Father's day products to get them in time for Father's day is Sunday (with regular shipping).
