Review: Photo Cushion By Snapfish

Valentines day is approaching fast, I'm sure it hasn't escaped your notice as it is really well advertised in shops and, well everywhere. I never usually bother with Valentines day, I have always seen it as a day where shops and companies can make money off selling the idea of love. I always used to think to myself, why do I need to buy someone a gift and card on this day? Surly I should tell them I love them everyday anyway. This year is different, my opinions have changed slightly. Although I do tell Sam I love him often, and I still don't feel the need to go all out and spend lots. I certainly want to get Sam a card and something small to show him I care.

Since becoming parents it has been harder to show each other affection, of course we make sure we make time for each other, but our evenings are different now. We used to be able to snuggle up on the sofa and watch a film. Now we are usually sitting on opposite ends watching together, not because we are any less in love, but because we get pulled and kissed and cuddled all day by a teething clingy toddler, when the evening draws in we just want our own little space.

It dawned on me I hadn't actually got Sam anything for valentines day when a email from Snapfish landed in my inbox, telling me all about their valentines day range. They have some beautiful personalised photo gifts available, ranging from photobooks and canvases, to the slightly more different products such as, mugs, cushions and mobile phone cases. The idea of a photo gift really appealed to me, as I didn't want something that was cheesy, and would probably find itself in the bin after a month or so.

After much deliberation I decided to go for a photo cushion. I think the cushion will add a lovely touch to our home, and make it look even more cosy while adding that personalised touch to the place. The cushions are high quality with full photo printed on one side, and on the other it has soft faux suede in fawn colour. This fits perfectly in our lounge, as it is all brown and cream tones. I picked a recent picture of Sam, Emily and I on the pier from our trip to Brighton. I'm sure he will love his gift just as much as I do.

The photo cushions do come in two sizes, small (11x11) and large (17x17). I picked the large cushion which retails for £24.99, it is the perfect size, and the quality is outstanding. I will definitely be ordering a few more too add to our sofa. If you want to order your own cushion or personalised product in time for Valentines day, make sure you order by February 9th.

*I was sent this product in exchange for a review, however all opinions are my own*

  1. What a lovely idea! I'm always struggling to know what to get my hubby as i like to get a little something but it's incredibly hard to find anything manly. This is such a thoughtful gift especially from a mama who loves photography! Thanks for sharing x

  6. This is lovely! I always think personalised cushions look a bit tacky, but you've picked a lovely photo that's not too cheesy. I love it xx
