Goals For 2016

I've never been one to set new years resolutions, I always think that we start the year with such optimism and then it fizzles out. This year I decided to set myself some goals, just thinks that I want to achieve or work on this year. I have these noted in the back of my planner (see picture above), this way I have no excuse for not working towards them. I thought I'd share them with you and hopefully inspire some other people to work on things they have been wanting to improve for a while.

1. Save
I'm the worst at saving, I always start and then end up splurging it all online shopping for Emily. I have started the 365 day money saving challenge, and I'm happy to say so far I have saved everyday and a little extra! I'm hoping that I can carry it on until the end of the year, even if I don't stick to the idea of the 365 day money challenge. If I save at least something every day/week then I will be so proud of myself. I have no idea what I will use it for but I'm sure that it will come in useful for something.

2. Get organised
I hope that I stick to meal planning and my shopping lists, I spend so much on our food shop that I don't actually need and its such a waste of money. I have the 'stick to stigu' planner this year, and I have been writing it out weekly including blog post ideas, shopping lists, to do lists and weekly meal plans. It is really therapeutic having it all in one place for me to see and stops my brain feeling like scrambled eggs.

3. Plan more family adventures
I am a very homely person, I love spending afternoons indoors doing crafts and just pottering around. This can get pretty boring for both Sam and Emily. I really want to get out more, and find more beautiful places. We absolutely adore going on walks, and exploring its just finding the motivation to actually go. I also want to have more fun family days out, my favourite memories of this year were spent at Mead open farm, and cebebies land.

4. Continue to work on my Anxiety and depression
When I found out I was pregnant with Emily I came off medication completely, it was of course my own choice not to have my anti-depressants, and since then I haven't started them  again. A few times in 2015 I went and got a prescription for them but never actually used it. I've continued to work through it and find alternatives to medication. I want to continue working on fixing my anxiety, of course it is always going to be in my life, but I want to reduce it as much as possible, and be the best mum to Emily I possibly can.

5. Learn to drive
I'm now 23 and this has been on my to do list since I was 18. At first I never really had a intrest in learning to drive, but since having Emily the urge to learn has increased more and more. I hate having to depend on other people to get to places, I want to just be able to get up and go. Hopefully this is something I can work on this year, and who knows I might even get my driving licence this year.

6. Work on my blog & YouTube channel
My blog has become a big part of my life, I absolutely love having my own space and somewhere to document all of my up, downs and family adventures. I have been making a real effort to improve my blog pictures and want to continue to do so. I also want to contune to grow my YouTube channel, I have been loving vlogging and I hope to find a good balance between the both.

You can always watch my video on my Goals for 2016 if you prefer.

What are your goals for this year? I'd love to hear.
