Halloween Food Plate #OrganixFoodFun

I realise everything is very Halloween related on our blog at the moment, but it only happens once a year so I might aswell make the most of it while I can. Emily won't be going 'trick or treating' as she is too small, but I don't want Halloween to pass by unnoticed. Recently Emily has become a really fussy eater, and it is becoming difficult to get her to eat anything. I thought I would put together a Halloween themed lunch, to see if it would make a difference, and of course it made the whole thing much more fun.

I then received a lovely email for Organix who have just launched their 'fun food plates' campaign, and it led me to this YouTube video. I was adamant to recreate these little spiders. Organix kindly supplied the rice cakes and this is what I came up with.

How cool does our Halloween plate look? First up I used a bat shaped cutter to shape Emily's ham sandwiches. This automatically peaked her interest in them, they were easier for her too hold and they looked a lot more attractive. I also cut up some banana and used some raisins to create faces, they look really effective. I then added some Animal Halloweenie biscuits.

Finally I recreated the Organix spiders with our own little twist. We used the Raspberry and Blueberry rice cakes, with Raspberries and a little apple for legs. You have to be quick to catch them, Emily's jumped right off the plate..

*I was sent these products for the purpose of the review, however all opinions are my own*
